Titel
The Execution of Solomon Harris
Synopsis
A power failure during an electric chair execution leaves the condemned prisoner Solomon
Harris alive, but screaming in pain. Ignoring the cries from the witnesses and the moral
ethics of the other guards, the Head Warden runs through emergency protocol in order to
restore power to the chair. When that fails, however, the Head Warden is left in a human
dilemma: Who is responsible for a human life? Is what the Head Warden doing “right” or
“wrong”? When the Head Warden is finally alone with Solomon, he must take it upon
himself to do what the system of capital punishment tries to avoid: To take responsibility
for the death of another human being.
