The end is the beginning is the end is a short documentary film. It tells about the unity of life and death. The film consists of two parts montaged parallel. The main part takes place at the Viennese central cemetery. Two teams of gravediggers are shown there, one opening a grave by shovel and another one digging a grave with a small digger. Between the central cemetery sequences a 3 ½ year old blond girl is shown playing in a sandbox. On the soundlayer the film works intensively with the noises of both sites and as a voice-over you hear interviews with two of the gravediggers. It is a film, which should show that death is a part of life.
