The directing exercises of the Filmacademy Vienna 2008

18 Theatergeschichten
From funny everyday-life and adventurous to abstract and surreal in the theatre, at the theatre and around the theatre.

These are for Austria unique art projects which were realised in 2007 and 2008 by the second year students under the guidance of Peter Patzak and Michael Haneke. In the university’s studio the students are supposed to make one black-and-white movie each. The shooting is two days per film, the 16mm-material is limited. In turns one helped another with camera and requisites, continuity and lighting. And although the basic preconditions were the same, highly individual works were the result – differing widely in topic, use of space and stylistic choices.

The concepts for the sets were made by students of University for Applied Arts Vienna.
